POEMS/SONGS

CAMPERS’ PRAY’R
song: 1964
In the play “Who Found Moo-Moo?” 1995

No roof have I but great, big sky,
Moon and stars are my only light.
A sleeping bag is my only bed
On this warm, summer night.
Oo..oo...oo....
On this warm, summer night.

The spicy, fragrant smell of pines
Drifts on the gentle breeze.
I’ll dream tonight in the open land
Lull’d by the rustling of leaves.
Oo..oo..oo...
Lull’d by the rustling of leaves.

I'm almost home!  Have gone from friends, to a bed and breakfast inn, while waiting for an apartment--that I should have had much before this. I thank the very kind people who have helped me during these three months.  It's wonderful to have such good friends.

Now, however, I can't wait to be home. If all goes well, I'll be moving in sometime next week.

In the meantime, I wrote a short play about all the evictions I've been through in the past two decades.  If anyone's interested in reading it, just send me an Email.
